2. Scope of the terms
These terms govern relationships arising from the provision of service, installation, diagnostic, inspection, calibration and related services for tachographs and vehicles. They apply to customers – both businesses and consumers – unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Online booking and formation of the service order
Submitting the form on the website constitutes a request for an appointment, not automatic confirmation of a service order. The appointment and scope of work become binding only after confirmation by the service centre by phone, email or another agreed method. Before work begins, the vehicle type, tachograph, required parts, price and estimated completion date may be clarified depending on the nature of the order.
If additional work becomes necessary during servicing that was not part of the original agreement and has a significant impact on the price or scope of the order, the service centre will obtain the customer's consent before carrying it out, unless the work is necessary to prevent imminent damage.
4. Prices and payment terms
Prices shown on the website are indicative unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific offer. The final price depends on the type of vehicle, equipment, required parts and the actual scope of work. The customer is informed of the price or how it will be determined before the service is provided if it cannot be determined in advance.
Payment may be made by the method agreed with the service centre. For cashless payments, the obligation is discharged when the amount is credited to the provider's account. Consumers are informed of the final price including all mandatory taxes and fees; for business customers, a price excluding VAT may be stated only if it is expressly identified as such.
5. Customer cooperation
The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided and will make available the vehicle, documents, access means and other materials required for the agreed work. If the service cannot be performed for reasons attributable to the customer, the service centre will propose the next steps or a new appointment.
6. Changing and cancelling an appointment
A booking can be changed or cancelled by phone or email. If the service centre cannot keep a confirmed appointment, it will contact the customer and offer an alternative date. Unless expressly agreed otherwise in advance, cancelling an online appointment request itself is not subject to a fee.
7. Rights relating to defective performance and complaints
The provider is responsible for ensuring that the service is performed within the agreed scope and with professional care. Any defect found should be reported without undue delay after discovery. A complaint may be made at the workshop or by email to info@tachoteplice.cz. This does not affect the customer’s statutory rights relating to defective performance.
8. Consumers and distance contracts
If a distance contract is concluded with a consumer, the consumer rights under the Czech Civil Code apply, including the right to withdraw within the statutory period unless a statutory exception applies. If the consumer requests that the service begin before the withdrawal period expires, the consumer acknowledges the obligation to pay a proportionate amount for the service already provided. Once the service has been fully performed, the right of withdrawal may cease under the conditions laid down by law.
The online form on this website is primarily a request for an appointment. If no contract is formed merely by submitting the form, any applicable consumer period begins only when the contract is actually concluded.
9. Alternative dispute resolution for consumer disputes
If a dispute arising from a service contract between the provider and a consumer cannot be resolved by agreement, the consumer may submit a proposal for alternative dispute resolution to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Central Inspectorate – ADR Department, Gorazdova 1969/24, 120 00 Prague 2. Information and the online procedure are available at coi.gov.cz/informace-o-adr/.
10. Personal data protection
Data from bookings and communications are used to the extent necessary to process the request, perform the contract, fulfil accounting and legal obligations and protect legitimate claims. The customer must not provide passwords, payment card details or other access credentials through the public form.
11. Final provisions
Legal relationships are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Any provisions of these terms that conflict with mandatory consumer rights do not apply to the extent of that conflict. The current version is published on this page.
