Downloading tachograph and driver-card data: what a carrier needs
The difference between tachograph data and driver-card data and how to prepare a service request.
Two different data sources
A digital tachograph uses data stored in the device itself and data stored on the driver card. When booking, therefore state whether you need data downloaded from the vehicle, the driver card or both.
For individual vehicles and fleets
Data downloading can be arranged for a single vehicle or for a larger number of vehicles and drivers. For a fleet, providing the number of vehicles and cards in advance helps the service centre prepare the right process and time allocation.
What to include in the request
- number of vehicles
- number of driver cards
- type of required output, if known
- deadline by which you need the data
